It was a fantastic weekend full of fun and hard, fought well sailed competition filled with shifts, oscillations, headers, holes and variable wind conditions. After seven races CRAW congratulates Team Minnesota and the Carlsons who helped carry their team to a solid victory over Team Wisconsin. Not only did we loose the Broken Rudder Trophy, but possibly lost some respect as well. Please believe me when I say that Saturday evening’s behavior, by several good hearted individuals, was so atypical that it may have changed the mood as people searched for a reason to explain it. I am here to tell you after detailed observation and further study, that I have concluded this behavior was driven by Global Warming and the desire to lower my carbon footprint in hopes to save the planet. Their rum soaked minds ascertained that accelerating the time table to retire my gas guzzling SUV would steer me into the usage of a Toyota Prius that can apparently run on cow manure and toothpaste. Is this how a Liberal problem solves?
