27 years of sailing experience, primarily racing Hobie
Catamarans. But I did slip off the wagon and served as bowman and
then middle man on a E Scow -- 2 years. Loved the large team, but
hated waiting to get there: 8 MPHs. So I bought my Hobie Tiger and
served as skipper for five years. I had a strong team and we were
progressing, but a business start-up broke up the success. I'm finding
it difficult to put together a team. Why not turn it around and have
me crew instead? I want to be involved in an energized champaign,
with a serious interest in building a strong racing team. I'd like
to be a contender. I have raced in CRAW several times; great crowd!
I have always been disappointed that I could not attend more. I'm
ready to travel -- nationals sounds very good! 52 years of age; 200
pounds. I have equipment, I can rig the boat, I know the lines, and
it's that-way
upwind. So we just need to put-it-all together. Drop me an e-mail.
Give me a call. Let's talk. I'm indefatigably serious about racing!

- I have grown up on a lake sailing C-scows, Lasers
and Hobie 16s. In 2006 I sailed with Brent at Rock Lake on the
F18. I live 10 minutes from Brent and Jennifer so I can easily
find a ride to any CRAW regatta. wbllacrosse08@comcast.net

I am determined to learn to sail
and particularly partial to the CAT experience. Came to Racine
2006 to meet everyone, but could not stick around very long,
yet I really liked the CRAW crowd - a great gang.
MY STATS: Tall, slender, flexible, athletic
and naturally competitive 5'11", 145 lbs. I stay in-shape;
have extended endurance, a lot of drive and not easily spooked
by physical challenges. I used to row crew in college so I know
how to train, compete yet still have fun. Love being on and
in the water. I LOVE the CATs and CAT racing and really want
to crew in the 2007 season. What I lack in experience I will
easily make up for with enthusiasm and being a fast learner.
I'm reading all the sailing info I can get my hands on but clearly
understand that this doesn't replace the teachings of an experienced
skipper or the experience of being on the boat. Will be glad
to volunteer to help on the committee boats etc, but would prefer
to be in the competitions if at all possible.
LOCATION: I Live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with a pretty demanding
work and personal life BUT I am willing to road trip to the
regatta's and commit to a schedule as long as I can plan far
enough in advance.

I have three years of experience
sailing Solings (and will be heading to the World Championships
in Annapolis in a few weeks). I have one year of experience
sailing a Sydney 41, and have been sailing on F18s for the
past 2 years as well. CRAW regattas include Green Bay, 2005,
and Rock Lake 2006. Here’s my info:

I have been sailing the cat that I presently have for about five
years off and on. For the last two years I have been sailing on
Flathead Lake in Montana on a Laser 28 for the Saturday regattas,
then joined a J-24 crew for a racing series that took us around
Montana and Idaho. I also raced a J-29 in a couple of series races.
I have been traveling in New Zealand and Australia and while in
New Zealand I joined a Weds. night racing series and crewed on a
Farr 11.5, which was much different from any previous sailing experience.
I then moved over to Melbourne for a short time and joined another
weds night racing series which I crewed on a Model 33. Most of the
possitions I have had were trimming the head sail. I have not yet
been able to compete on a cat but am very excited about the opportunity.
I am 25 years old and in the best shape of my life. I weight in
at 183 and my height is 6'4" tall.
